  17. Look through the info-mac archives for a program called Suntar, which is 
  18. a pretty versatile program for creating and extracting tar archives.  It 
  19. is also supposed to be able to operate a SCSI tape drive directly.  On 
  20. the Emplant, this should be no problem, but it may or may not work on 
  21. ShapeShifter.

  23. I've used this to create a large tar backup file on the Mac partition 
  24. itself, then mount the Mac partition from the Amiga side and copy the tar 
  25. file to tape through BTNtape.
